Reuben Wu and a five-person team spent two years planning to shoot this near-horizon solar eclipse in northern Chile on July 2, 2019. Captured just after totality, this image of the solar eclipse displays the diamond ring effect, in which beads of sunlight can be seen peaking out behind the moon. After shooting the eclipse, the crew returned to their base camp in the hills above the town of La Higuera.
