ESA to Illinois: Pay Up

After an Illinois law banning the sale of certain games to minors was ruled unconstitutional, a federal judge ordered the state to pay the legal fees of the Entertainment Software Association, which totaled over half a million dollars.

The Associated Press reports today that recently re-elected governor Rod Blagojevich (D) has yet to pay up. The best line from the story:

Blagojevich spokesman Gerardo Cardenas would not discuss the matter beyond saying the state ''will comply with any court order.'' He refused to explain why the administration hasn't complied with the Aug.
9 court order or when it will do so.

Zing. Perhaps Blagojevich was awaiting the results of an appeal? Well, that fell through today (via 1up).
