When George Lucas asked Robert Salvatore to write the novel for Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, he actually said, "Can I think about it?"
Upon reflection and after listening to the suggestions of his friend and peer Terry Brooks, Salvatore agreed.
Here, he talks about transforming a huge screenplay into a novel, working with George Lucas, and his many other novels in the Dark Elf trilogy and Demon Wars series.
